Myfanwy Hunter

Myfanwy (Min) Hunter is the Head of Music at Sophia Mundi, an inner-city Waldorf and International Baccalaureate World School located within the vibrant Abbotsford Convent arts precinct in Melbourne.

Her role encompasses the design and implementation of a rich and integrated P–12 music program, spanning Classroom, Instrumental, and Ensemble Music. She leads a passionate team of ten musician-educators, working collaboratively to meet the evolving needs, interests, and challenges of young people learning music in the 21st century.

Myfanwy’s teaching expertise includes IBDP Music, curriculum design, teacher mentorship, and directing String Orchestras and Choir. She provides specialist tuition for viola and violin students at intermediate to advanced levels. Her approach to music education is grounded in fostering creative confidence, musical literacy, and values-based learning through collaborative music-making.
