About
I’m Myfanwy (Min) Hunter, a musician, researcher, and teacher whose work blends performance, sound, and education.
As a musician, I play viola, voice, and viola da gamba, collaborating with dancers, theatre makers, visual artists, and ensembles. My creative palette spans Early Music, Baroque, Classical, New Music, and Experimental Sound Practices.
In my teaching practice, I am Head of Music at Sophia Mundi Waldorf & IB World School, where I lead a vibrant and values-driven music program. I teach IBDP Music, am Director of Upper Strings & Choir, and teach individual viola and violin students. I’m passionate about developing a rich music curriculum that engages students at all levels of learning.
As a researcher, my work is informed by the application of TheoryU, New Metrics, and values-based education, exploring how teaching methods in music to foster artistry, technical mastery, and embodied performance to shape deeper connections to music and self.
