Applied Improvisation Network Conference

  • Blueberry Lake Mont Tremblant Montreal Canada (map)

Myfanwy presented a series of workshops and talks at the Applied Improvisation Network Conference in Montreal, Canada. The conference brought together people working with the principals of improvisation across business, emergency management, government sectors and the creative arts to consider opening up new pathways, conversations and approaches to the challenges that face us in contemporary work, social and private life.

Myfanwy presented two workshops: Landance and Improvorch. Landance was a nocturnal immersive exploration in sounds and movement set amongst the conference surrounds of Mont-Tremblant, just north of Montreal. Improvorch was an approach to conducted ensemble improvisation informed by the work of Butch Morris. Both wokshops were designed to be interactive, immersive, though-provoking, connecting us with nature, creativity and with each other.
