Testimonials

My 14 year old son has been taking viola lessons from Myfanwy for more than 6 years. We have always been very happy with her close supports to us, which includes not only great lessens but also her off-the-lesson involvement to expand his general interests in music. He is a current member of the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra, as a result of Myfanwy encouraging and supporting him to audition for such ensemble programs. Recently, my 8 year old daughter also started to play violin, studying under Myfanwy. It is impressive for me that Myfanwy takes a different approach to her respecting her personality and individual difference from her brother. What are common in her lessons is her effort to lead her students in fostering a love of music.
— Naoto, parent of viola student
As an adult learner, I was both excited and apprehensive to start learning the violin. Myfanwy has been a wonderful teacher and mentor. She has increased my confidence by providing lessons that both meet my needs and suitably challenge me. Through her tuition, Myfanwy has helped me identify gaps in my music knowledge which has significantly improved my playing. Lessons with Myfanwy are patient, encouraging and enthusiastic and I look forward to being a long-term student!
— Bec, violin adult learner
Myfanwy has been teaching our son viola for over seven years and she has done an amazing job.  Not only has he learnt how to play the viola well but he has been inspired to compose his own compositions. We have been thrilled with his progress!
